X-Files project # 1..........Fireclay And Coal Mine.

A nice fireclay and coal mine dating back into the 1800's several entrances go into this system, the roof in most places is in average condition for its age but crumbly wallieeeeee is all over stemples rotting all over but with some nice rails for the carts and a few very nice carts as well, this place is very special as there is not 1 but 2 rare items not of any money value but historic value for mining they are drill stands which the hand drills were positioned on then the miner could drill the holes for blasting.....

A few shots outside but nothing to state where we are...

A view into adit 2.....

The way forwards.....
bad idea its too well collapsed...

Time to get out and look in another adit.....

Time for adit 3.......now were cooking on gas !...
A very nice corridor.....

First bit of water we came across.....

Nice miners deads.....

A view over the stemples as the roof has fully collapsed here.....

Only shovel handle to be found in the mine.....so far !.

Just a stunning corridor....

Tub tracks...

Pick marks from the 1800's miners....MINT !!!

Main corridor.....

Mould growths looking like feathers.....

Bang wire

Some form of rail system adjuster for sending the
carts in different directions depending where
they needed to go...

The only drilled hole left for BANG in the mine...so far !!!
